Israel in biblical light

SHORT COURSE: 19-25. NOVEMBER 2023

For the second time, Mariager Højskole is hosting an Israel course. Experience a versatile and inspiring week with community, good food, and not least solid teaching.

The week course is for those who want a nuanced education about Israel, both from a biblical perspective with a focus on the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, but also a broad insight into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The course is also for those who want a week of socializing, fun and fantastic surroundings. Of course, there will also be the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful city of Mariager and the surrounding nature. We are looking forward to a great week where we will be inspired and perhaps challenged.

Poul and Karen Margrethe Kirk have for several decades organised inspiring study trips to Israel and will also lead us through a 'journey' in Israel's history and culture. We will also look at the conflicts that have marked the country and the potential of the Christian faith to bridge the gap between Israelis and Palestinians.

Casper and Maria Vestergård have lived and worked in Jerusalem and currently reside in Odense.

Palle and Anne Marie Flyger
Danish European Mission and former missionary and pastor

Palle Flyger from the Danish European Mission, who lived in Nazareth for several years and since then has often visited both Messianic Jews and Christian Palestinians and has a great knowledge of people in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
